A pioneer in the sustainable fashion movement, Christopher Raeburn continued with his REMADE ethos by creating a sustainable FW18 collection built on innovative and recycled fabrics, protecting not only the environment but the wearer too. While his last collection looked at the desert landscape, this time around the designer dived into our planet’s oceans with a collection aptly named ‘IMMERSE’ – including looks to withstand even the most unpredictable sea conditions.

Menswear and womenswear featured in the 27 look show in a palette of muted grey, navy and blacks injected with blasts of orange and yellow tones, Raeburn’s own twist on the nautical – more extreme deep sea diving than cutesy rowing boat excursions. The ocean theme carried over to even the smallest of details; from waterproof zips to fun emergency whistles and recycled Danish Naval blankets reimagined as overcoats and bags.

Every season Raeburn debuts a new mascot, here it was a squid adorning prints and accessories. Raeburn’s signature 4 R’s text (REMADE, REDUCED, RECYCLED, RAEBURN) featured throughout, as tape hanging from garments and bag straps. Looks were completed with boots in collaboration with Palladium using high quality recycled materials including recycled rubber, recycled PET coated polyester and scuba.
