For FW18 Astrid Andersen continued to push the boundaries of streetwear, this time, with a pinch of rave and rodeo-inspired aesthetic.

Lone outlaws pulled from 2018 urban re-appropriations of the western genre walked the catwalk as premium streetwear met bright prints, crystal embroideries and neon-coloured Nike Air Max 270s. To Andersen, the collection “paid homage to the legacy of the era of Buffalo youth and worked with imagery from the 1980s.”

Vests, kilts, polo necks, oversized silk shirts, signature oversized hoodies and sheer tops all mixed. Glitter organza met metallic jacquard, plaid shirting rubbed up against long puffer coats and tracksuit bottoms were paired with cowboy hats – a look we can firmly get behind. Between the mens looks, Atrid showcased some of her inaugural womenswear collection – set to make their official debut in February at Copenhagen Fashion Week – creating a co-ed cast of post-work ranchers on their way to the dancefloor.
