Saint Laurent has opened its second flagship store in Tokyo’s Ginza 6 region, having opened its first in 2015.

Following the house’s store blueprint, the new space fuses French-Art Deco influences and philosophical ideas held by the influential modernist movement. To celebrate the opening, Anthony Vaccarello hosted a special dinner at Tokyo’s Horyuji museum – a building that shares Saint Laurent’s sleek architectural ethos.

Spanning three floors, the boutique comes decked in black and white marble, floor to ceiling mirrors and leather and nickel-plated brass benches (for when it all gets too much). It also boasts a backlighted black marble façade, a new addition to the house’s store design concept.

Whilst stocking a wide selection of Saint Laurent products including ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes, sunglasses and jewellery, Anthony Vaccarello has a treat in-store (literally) for shoppers: a capsule collection specially created to mark the opening.

The limited edition offering includes leather and canvas backpacks, wallets, tees and a killer Army parka, all complete with a special personalised ‘SL LOVE Tokyo’ badge. These are bound to fly off the shelf, so raid your contacts for anyone Tokyo-based and pull in a favour.

The new store is located Ginza Six 6-10-1 Ginza Chuo-Ku Tokyo 1040061.
