Today Diesel reveal their SS17 campaign, which comes with a special Valentine’s Day message: “make love not walls”. Shot by long-term collaborator and world renowned photographer David LaChapelle, the campaign confronts the current political climate through a series of images that convey messages of solidarity, acceptance and kindness.

“At Diesel, we have a strong position against hate and more than ever we want the world to know that,” explains Artistic Director Nicola Formichetti. “Love and togetherness is crucial in creating a society we all want to live in, and the future we all deserve.”

LaChapelle’s work often carries poignant social messages; historically his campaigns have tackled religion, sexuality and race through powerful – and at times controversial – images, from his iconic kissing sailors to guided weapons, obese diners and religious leaders.
