The first official trailer has been released for Danny Boyle’s long-awaited sequel to his 1996 cult classic Trainspotting.

Reuniting the original gang, including Renton (Ewan McGregor), Begbie (Robert Carlyle), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller) and Spud (Ewen Bremner), T2 Trainspotting is twenty years on from the original film and is loosely inspired by Irvine Welsh’s sequel Porno.

Beginning with Underworld’s classic ‘Born Slippy’, which is now synonymous with the original film, Wolf Alice track Silk soundtracks the second part of the trailer alongside talk of “Instagram”, “revenge porn” and “zero hour contracts,” in an updated version of Renton’s iconic “choose life” speech.

The film will be released on 27th January, 2017 in the UK and 3rd February in the US. Watch the trailer above.
