Topman has joined forces with filmmaker and A$AP Rocky collaborator, Dexter Navy, to launch its FW16 Premium collection in a series of short films titled Private Views.

In the first instalment, Navy takes us on a journey through Westbourne Grove, in west London where he grew up. Dressed in the new collection – which features minimalist luxe sportswear pieces – Navy explains why he got into filmmaking and how the rich culture of his neighbourhood inspires his work.

Navy’s career is defined by bold fast-paced creativity, an approach that’s already seen him work with Travi$ Scott, Drake, M.I.A, A$AP Rocky, and fellow Londoner Jamie Isaac. “I like to collaborate with artists that wouldn’t be afraid to jump on a flight and shoot in the middle of nowhere. It’s how filmmaking should be to me,” he says. The young director received critical acclaim for Rocky’s L$D video, shot in Tokyo and with a nod to Gasper Noe’s provocative Enter the Void, the film demonstrates the young director’s incredible talent and ambitious vision.
