Sabbath Bloody Sabbath

Supreme collaborate with Black Sabbath for a heavy drop
By Alex James Taylor | Fashion | 28 March 2016

Supreme always keep us on our toes in terms of exciting new releases (prime example), but their latest drop, a collaboration between the New York street brand and Wolverhampton rock gods Black Sabbath is something we can really sink our teeth into.

What may seem like a surprise collab (can you imagine Ozzy donning a Supreme 5-panel? Us neither) actually makes perfect sense: both Supreme and Black Sabbath boast a hardened cult following; both have their own iconic typography; and both are pioneers of innovation and progression in their respective fields. Plus, music imagery is an infinite pool of inspiration for designers, from Raf Simons’ AW03 Peter Saville New Order collection to Fear of Gods’ rock tees currently doing the rounds.

Coinciding with Sabbath’s ongoing world tour (an 100% must-see), the Spring 2016 consists of a Denim Trucker Jacket, Hooded Parka, Hockey Jersey, Hooded Sweatshirt, Crewneck Sweatshirt, Long Sleeve T-Shirt, four Short Sleeve T-Shirts, a 5-Panel Hat and a Rug by Gallery 1950. Each piece comes emblazoned with Black Sabbath iconography, from the legendary Sabbath cross logo to cropped album artwork.

Sure to sell out in seconds, keep your trigger finger hot. The collection will be available in-store (NY, LA, London, Paris) and online on March 31st.
