Craig Green join forces with Björn Borg for a killer FW16 sportswear collab
By Lewis Firth | Fashion | 9 February 2016

At the beginning of February award-winning designer, Craig Green, presented a new collaborative collection in Stockholm: Craig Green x Bjorn Borg.

Monochromatic, structured pieces are indicative of Green’s style – think that, but paired with typical sports references that Borg is so synonymous with. Functionality, performance and aesthetics nipped into one.

“It has been thrilling and intriguing to create sportswear for both men and women,” said Green. “When the Björn Borg team asked if I was up for the challenge I just couldn’t resist. Mixing my own style with the utilitarian beauty of the Björn Borg heritage has resulted in a collection that I am very proud of”

Featuring both men’s and women’s pieces, the new line was presented on static models that existed within an installation of light and shadow elements. Off-white and black were core colours. Drawstrings, leggings and a raincoat were made in technical fabrics that fitted congruently with Green’s armour-like, ceremonious utilitarianism and Borg’s sportswear functionality.
