Here’s a date to double highlight in extra thick felt tip, 19th March marks the day Dover Street Market plan to open the doors to their brand new residency in Haymarket, just south of Piccadilly Circus.

Having first announced the move late last year, DSM – the retail arm of Comme des Garçons – will close it’s Dover Street location at the beginning of March in preparation for the move across town. The store’s new space will be the original 1911 Burberry building, designed by Walter Cave it has been vacant since the brand left in 2007.

First opened back in 2004, the concept store transformed the retail landscape through it’s uniquely immersive blend of art, fashion and installations. Three times larger than the existing premises, DSM’s new location will allow the store to expand its range and cater to larger creative in-store ideas. This marks a big step for the brand and promises to mark the beginning of an exciting new tenure.

Head over to the Dover Street Market website every Tuesday at 2pm GMT for weekly updates on their move. Think 60 Minute Makeover but featuring the likes of Dior, Loewe and Gosha Rubchinskiy. Essential viewing.

Dover Street Market will open at 18-21 Haymarket on 19th March
