When, in 2013, three school friends – Julia Cumming, Jacob Faber and Nick Kivlen – first joined forces under the united pseudonym Sunflower Bean sparks flew and guitars howled. Stretching the rock template until it breaks, their critically acclaimed Show Me Your Seven Secrets EP certified the hype that quickly attached itself to this Brooklyn trio. Igniting a burning pyre out of psych drones, metal riffs and Motorik drums, Sunflower Bean beckoned us in with their visceral soundscape.

This week came the news we’d all been highly anticipating, the announcement of their debut full length record, Human Ceremony (out 5th February) and a coinciding February headline UK tour.

The band played London this month, and we packed a camera in their tour rider. They got behind it and made us a photo diary. Cheers guys! From North London to South – from a headline show at The Moth Club to two sold out shows at Brixton Academy supporting The Vaccines – these New Yorkers ran riot and we can’t wait to welcome them back.
