This week Dover Street Market London are throwing open their doors for a series of happenings and installations, in conjunction with Frieze art fair hitting the city this week.

DSM’s version of an open house is x10 better than what you’d normally expect, as always. And it begins before you even set foot in the store thanks to a specially commissioned window by Comme des Garçons featuring the work of NY artist and photographer Roger Ballen.

Here comes the big pull, on Thursday 15th the open house will welcome a double dose of cultural special guests; Gosha Rubchinskiy will be present to sign copies of his latest photobook Youth Hotel, and everyone’s favourite mystical polymath Michèle Lamy will also be in-store to present her video installation featuring films of her Bargel, Bargenale and Bargican events, directed by Alex Grazioli.

And there’s more (deep breath); from a limited edition Simone Rocha magazine, featuring various images that inspire the designer, to a Gucci installation to mark the arrival of Gucci jewellery on the Third Floor, to a special series of signet rings and porcelain skulls from Tom Wood, Norwegian artist John Andre Hanoy and London engraver Castro Smith, and the launch of artist J.R.’s new insightful book titled Can Art Change The World? Got all that?

DSM don’t do anything by halves. Head down, have a mooch, and enjoy some complimentary drinks along the way. Sorted.
