They’re back!

Dsquared2’s new London flagship is inspired by 50s Americana and the London Tube

Dsquared2 has unveiled its soon-to-open London flagship store on Bond Street, collaging references including 50s Americana, the London Underground and offices.

Spanning two floors, a distinctive mid-century taste decorates the space, with modernist wooden furniture, minimalist stylings and mirrored columns. Tubular shapes are inspired by the London Tube, and custom-made lamps blend 50s office lighting with an industrial edge, also seen across aluminium ceiling grids. Evoking the notion of the Wunderkammer, you could imagine the store’s custom lacquered okoumé wood showcase filled with strange collectables, while a darker red Klinker tile floor decorates each dressing room as vibrant punctuation.

This spirit of contrasts, collages and contradictions feeds the Dsquared2 spirit. Just look to the brand’s recent FW24 show, which saw twin models walk into ‘makeover machine’ – entering casual and exiting ready for a bejewelled night out.
