In 2022, Stone Island celebrated their 40th birthday. In 2024, they staged their first ever show. The Milanese brand, which was founded by Massimo Osti to complement his other other venture, C.P. Company, is one of the most recognisable brand out there, thanks to its iconic compass badge motif.

For their show on the opening day of Milan Fashion Week, Stone Island assorted their models onto a three-storey vertical structure in a stark, empty warehouse. The looks were presented in multiples and in a mixture of current FW24 looks and archival pieces.

Key pieces included a hooded down jacket that used nanotechnology to infuse aluminium in the polyester organza, giving an optical effect as if the jacket was pure liquid. An archival parka from FW99 (the first ever Stone Island collection to feature metal) was presented to highlight over twenty years of metallic research at the brand. And three pieces made from Stone Island iridescent nylon metal in a recycled version with one of the pieces, a bomber, having a black tape industrial zip, highlighting the inspiration this season from astronaut uniforms.
