Put ten candles on the birthday cake because Homme Plissé Issey Miyake is celebrating its first decade in style. The brand, which focuses on casualwear for men, was founded in 2013 and has since become one of the most popular branches of the Issey Miyake family tree. Since its inception, the brand has worked with the same pleating technology to design and make clothing with an undeviating approach. 

For this anniversary, photographer Henry Leutwyler has captured the garments as well as the tools used for the design and making: still lifes of objects such as a pin, a measuring tape, and fabric pieces together tell a story of the last ten years. Homme Plissé Issey Miyake will also be launching two limited series called DECADE and DECADE SWEATER.

DECADE includes three simple styles that reflect the brand’s design and making, in a variety of colours. The DECADE SWEATER is a crew-neck sweater with the brand logo knitted on the back.

And as if this wasn’t enough, an exhibition will also be held from November 11th at the Issey Miyake Ginza and Semba stores in Japan featuring the photographs taken by Henry Leutwyler for the 10th anniversary.

DECADE and DECATE SWEATER will launch on November 11th in select Issey Miyake stores worldwide.
