Moncler and Palm Angels’ latest collaboration exudes post-preppy Americana
By Barry Pierce | Fashion | 24 October 2023

By now, the Moncler x Palm Angels collaborations have become the fashion equivalent of Godzilla vs. King Kong — two megabrands teaming up to make a capsule collection that we’re already stressed about trying to cop. In the twelve years since Francesco Ragazzi founded Palm Angels, it has become one of the biggest and most recognisable streetwear brands out there. The two Italian houses never fail to produce some of the most hyped drops in fashion, and it looks like their latest project will be no different.

Offering up a series of gender-neutral looks, this collection is a continuation of Ragazzi’s endless fascination with 90s vintage and Americana archetypes, interpreted through the distinctive Palm Angels filter. It exudes a post-preppy feel, taking elements from enduring house codes and turning them around and upside-down on cable-knit sweaters, cable puffers, and an aged leather biker jacket.

Details are pulled from the classic button-down Oxford shirt and used as accents on collars and zip-up puffers while a traditional Oxford patch shirt is transformed into a new iteration of the iconic puffer jacket. Outdoor prints on coats and cargo pants mix with cricket stripes, while lighter jackets are layered under oversized duvets. Baggy skater jeans and tracksuit bottoms are the finishing layers of fresh couplings that include beanies, caps, shades and Peka Trek hiking-style boots on foot with bold contrast rubber detailing.

The Moncler x Palm Angels collection will be available on moncler.com and palmangels.com, and in select Moncler and Palm Angels boutiques from October 26.
