Stone Island’s SS23 collection is crafted from new-age material

Stone Island’s latest collection is an evolution of the Italian brand’s iconic nylon metal fabric, refashioned with ECONYL® regenerated yarns for SS23. Crafted from life-ended nylon and recycled with a complex depolymerization process to create a fibre which retains its original performance, the material is a more sustainable take on a total classic.

The iridescent fabric is fashioned into new iterations of the brand’s staples as field jackets, anoraks and overshirts stand at the centre of the collection, all finessed with the infamous Stone Island badge on the left sleeve. Utilitarian touches can be felt as designs are completed with hooded visors, elasticated contour drawstrings, hidden pockets and Velcro fastenings. Hues of olive green, teal and pearl pink make for a rich colour palette as the double-dying process allows for two-tone effects on trims, overstitching and zips. Monochromatic looks enable the garments technicality to shine, ultimately placing function and innovative design at the fore.
