UK diehards

Our Legacy’s Matchesfashion capsule consists of upcycled British classics

Known for their fabrication innovation and laidback Scandi styling, Stockholm brand our Legacy has launched a special twelve-piece exclusive Workshop collection exclusively at Matchesfashion.

Crafted exclusively from deadstock fabrics, the collection is a “love letter to the craftsman excellence of the British Isles.” This means knitwear made in Scotland from leftover yarns, suits and coats in residual British fabrics, Harris Tweed wool reimagined as shirting and Baracuta’s classic G9 Harrington cut in upcycled Our Legacy materials.

What’s more, the collection also sees a special pop-up open at Matchesfashion’s 5 Carlos Place townhouse, offering complimentary customisation from artists Namita Khade and Hank Grüner.

“The collection is based on the appreciation of the craftsmanship and the fabric weaving, knitting and shoemaking excellence being tucked into the British Isles,” says Our Legacy founder Jockum Hallin. “Looking from afar it’s of course easy to romanticise around the idea of a small factory doing what they’ve always done, but the actual ways of producing something long-lasting in a wholesome way is something we deeply respect and aspire to.

We have put together our dream collection of Our Legacy tweaked classic UK diehards, the double-breasted suit, the raincoat, the Harrington and the Scottish lambswool knit, iconic and timeless, all done the Our Legacy Workshop way using deadstock and residual fabrics.”

The collection will be available at Our Legacy and Matchesfashion‘s online stores as well as in-store at 5 Carlos Place.
