Domestic bliss

Naomi Campbell plays the role of Lanvin muse for Bruno Sialelli‘s SS22 campaign alongside model Evan Garcia, photographed by Luis Alberto Rodriguez and styled by Carlos Nazario. Reflecting the domestic sensibilities of the collection, the images place Campbell and Nazario inside a lush surrealist manor house – or “muted den” – decorated with rich textures and art deco furniture; no doubt reflecting Jeanne Lanvin’s spirit.

We’re sure you remember Campbell stepping out at the finale of the SS22 show, wearing a black cape that alluded to the collection’s collaboration with DC Comics, which saw Batman and Catwoman step out of their comic panels and onto the garments. Here, Campbell rekindles her relationship with that cape – fits her very well – alongside a crinoline dress that evokes 30s Concerto eveningwear and another decorated in Ms Lanvin’s signature florals. Meanwhile, Garcia lounges in silk shirting featuring Batman’s classic Batmobile and a violet leather trench coat that nods to the Caped Crusador’s infamous nemesis, The Joker.
