Lockdown Sessions: Ronnie Scott’s is live-streaming live jazz
Music | 24 March 2020

In these times of self-isolation, many of us are nostalgic for the days when we could go to a bar or club and listen to live music. As many musicians have sought innovative ways around this by live-streaming performances from their home or releasing new, unheard music, London’s iconic jazz club Ronnie Scott’s is transmitting a touch of its speakeasy charm directly into your home via its new Lockdown Sessions: while the club is closed, the show must go on.

An ongoing new series performed inside the empty venue – with musicians spaced appropriately apart – these Lockdown Sessions spotlight some of the most popular and talented jazz musicians for a taste of Ronnie’s from home. Having kicked off yesterday with pianist/composer Ashley Henry – who was meant to be playing three sold-out gigs at Ronnie’s this week – the streams continue throughout the week. So tune in, kick back, pour yourself a whiskey and enjoy.
