Lazoschmidl’s FW20 collection imagines a psych band with a record to blow your mind

Exclusively previewed here, Lazoschmidl‘s FW20 collection – titled Mister Sister – envisions a glam rock band on the comeback trail, having created the ultimate psychedelic record that will blow minds and shatter reality. The concept behind the record? “Dealing with the eternal dream of an alternative community in which love is the sole guiding principle of existence.”

Side A of this fictitious album features tracks, Twisted Reality, It Wasn’t Me, It Wasn’t You, Hijack Me and Reasonable Desires, then flip to Side B and endulge the ears with No, No, No (no Nothing), Painful Moments, Kiss me, Come On (This Is It) and Contemplation.

Within the collection, this inspiration is realised as an “all-day recording session that climaxes as a slumber party”. Here, soulful tones manifest as printed sequins, satin and kimono silhouettes, while patchwork speaks of diverse influences and velvet pants just ooze rock ‘n’ roll sex appeal. Elsewhere a new currency – money for a broken heart – reflects the dangerous eroticism of stardom and fame.

Photographed by Alan Marty, the collection imagery is shot in square format, as an homage to vinyl record sleeves of yesterday and Instagram feeds of today: the meeting of two worlds on a journey to beyond.
