Hedi Slimane has revealed his debut Celine menswear campaign, showcasing his SS19 collection, titled Paris La Nuit.

Shot in London in October this year, the video features a montage of images, mixing still lifes (featuring reel-to-reel tape recorders and distorted TV screens) with imagery of models clad in Slimane’s Celine debut – remember those slim des Jeunes Gens Modernes-inspired suits, Christian Marclay prints and sci-fi glam? Of course you do, it’s barely left your mind.

The campaign comes soundtracked by the title track from French synth duo Ruth’s record Polaroïd/Roman/Photo, an obscure record from the Parisian des Jeunes Gens Modernes movement that apparently sold just 50 copies when it was released on Paris Records in 1985 .

The full Celine SS19 collection will be available in stores in February 2019.
