Anthony Vaccarello’s new Saint Laurent film takes place in a surreal backstage room
By Alex James Taylor | Fashion | 13 September 2018

Previously, Anthony Vaccarello has placed his Saint Laurent campaign faces in nightclubs, on top of the New York skyline and, in the special case of Kate Moss, lounging on a beach and in the ocean. Only Moss.

Vaccarello’s latest campaign offering sees model Mica Arganaraz in what appears to be a surreal backstage room covered in graffiti as strobe lighting flickers. Accompanying imagery places her sprawled out across a pile of Moroccan rugs – very Mick Jagger in Performance

Both the images and film were shot by Inez & Vinoodh, while the video features a take on Haendel’s renowned Sarabanda – the haunting main theme of Stanley Kubrick’s cult film Barry Lyndon – interpreted by the Armenia Symphony Orchestra.
