Jonathan Glazer’s cult gangster film Sexy Beast is the latest film to be getting a small-screen spin-off.

Deadline reports that Anonymous Content and Paramount Television have acquired the TV rights to the film and are set to for a TV series that will tell the origin stories of the unhinged duo Don Logan and Teddy Bass and the retired sunburnt gangster Gal Dove – played by Ben Kingsley, Ian McShane and Ray Winstone respectively in the original 2000 movie.

Set in the 1990s, The TV show would follow a young Gal as an up-and-coming criminal in the London underworld and explore how he formed a partnership with Don, began working for Teddy and how he met and fell in love with adult film star DeeDee. The hardest part in all this? Finding a cast as perfect as the original.
