Loewe look to the future for its new FW18 eyewear collection
By Alex James Taylor | Fashion | 27 June 2018

Loewe is one of those major European institutions which you can always rely on for unquestionably chic and impeccably crafted accessories. Example? Look no further than the Spanish brand’s latest venture, which sees it team up with Thélios – a joint venture between LVMH and Marcolin Group, launched in 2017 with the purpose of pushing eyewear design and production to progressive new levels – for three innovative eyewear releases.

Taking its cue from Loewe’s three pillars – craftsmanship, experimental spirit and expertise in leather – this new FW18 drop has been conceived to echo the brand’s storied identity, blended with that playful attitude creative director Jonathan Anderson has brought since his appointment in 2013.

Inspired by futurism and architectural shapes, broken down the triple-threat release includes: the Puzzle medium, a progressive take on the iconic aviator shape drawing on Loewe’s Puzzle bag design; the Tyra, a futuristic mask shape that wouldn’t look out of place on the set of Blade Runner; and the Junkx, with its rectangular shape and stitched leather front. As London hits peak sun, what better time to update your eyewear sitch’.

The Loewe x Thélios collection is out now at Loewe.com.
