Peek glittery polaroids taken backstage at the Saint Laurent SS19 show

Relocating the Saint Laurent SS19 show from Paris to New York, Anthony Vaccarello put on an event worthy of joining the city’s rich history of excess, glam and fun.

His debut menswear collection for the storied fashion house, Vaccarello took guests across the Hudson River to Liberty Skate Park. A homage to Yves Saint Laurent’s iconic Opium fragrance release party 30 years ago in 1978, the collection itself was a louche rock ‘n’ roll nod to such hedonistic nights. Tuxedos came with gold trim detailing, crushed velvet blazers mirrored the rippling Hudson waves and the finale saw the boys walk the runway bare-chested and painted in silver glitter – as if they’d just ascended from one of Studio 54’s infamously late nights.

Taken backstage post-show, peek a series of special polaroids capturing the boys in their shimmering finale looks.
