Tomorrow night in New York City, Anthony Vaccarello will present his first exclusively menswear show for Saint Laurent, having previously mixed men’s looks into his womenswear show in Paris.

Set to take place at 21:00 EST time (02:00 UK time), the show will mark a defining step in the designer’s vision for the house, and the first time Saint Laurent has shown a collection in New York – although the house’s connection with the US has been ever present since Hedi Slimane relocated the Saint Laurent studio to LA during his tenure.

Excited? Us too. Provoking that anticipation, Vaccarello has released a short teaser video showing monochrome footage of waves rippling beneath the moonlight. As for clues behind the video, your guess is as good as ours. But given Vaccarello’s flair for the blockbuster theatrical, including a series of shows backdropped by the Eiffel Tower’s shimmering lights, we have a sneaky feeling that the Statue of Liberty may well have a part to play.
