Excellent!

Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter to return for third Bill and Ted movie

It’s official, Bill S Preston Esq. and Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan are returning to the big screen for a truly excellent reunion.

Nearly 27 years since the release of the second film in the sci-fi comedy franchise, plans were officially announced yesterday at the Cannes Film Festival.

Titled Bill & Ted Face the Music, the film will see Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves reprise their iconic roles, while original Bill & Ted creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon are also set to return.

So where are our favourite hopeless duo at nowadays? Well, a lot’s changed since we last saw the time-travelling slackers and wannabe rock gods in 1991’s Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey. Yet to fulfil their sonic destiny, things take a most serious turn when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Setting out on a new adventure in search of inspiration, the now middle-aged best friends find some help from their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and some sympathetic music legends.

“We couldn’t be more excited to get the whole band back together again,” Reeves and Winter told The Hollywood Reporter. “Chris and Ed wrote an amazing script, and with Dean at the helm we’ve got a dream team!”
