F is For…

Fendi commissions six international artists to create a statement for the future
By Undine Markus | Fashion | 6 February 2018

Today, Fendi’s F is For… communication platform hits its one year mark. Marking the anniversary Fendi has commissioned six young international street artists to create a collaborative artwork on the rooftop of its HQ in Palazzo Della Civilta. Titled The Ring of The Future, this new project unites perspectives from the UK, Iran, US, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea.

The particular instalment will see each artist write the word ‘FUTURE’ in their own language within a yellow ring, creating a visual and, more importantly, cultural loop. According to the Italian fashion house, the concept is meant to embody hope for mutual understanding by blurring any cultural barriers in order to promote diversity and fearlessness.

Photographs and videos of the project will join other posts on the website and Instagram account curated and managed by the artists themselves, while Fendi has also created their first ever line of unisex t-shirts embossed with the conceptual artwork.
