30th anniversary

Isamaya Ffrench creates an unsettling Willy Wonka film for Camper

Camper has rekindled its collaborative relationship with make-up artist Isamaya Ffrench for a special short film celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Spanish brand’s TWINS line.

Having previously joined forces to create a “fusion of sport and dance” set against Iceland’s glacier lagoons, this new video release sees a creepy monochrome Willy Wonka-like character climbing a piano-esque set. Jarring and unsettling, the video’s monochrome palette mirrors a new TWINS release, reinterpreting the brand’s classic runner as a padded high-top sneaker.

Debuted in 1988, the brand’s TWINS concept challenged the idea that a pair of shoes must be identical, creating pairs where the right shoe differed from the left.

TWINS by Isamaya Ffrench will be available in Camper stores and online in mid-January.
