Get down
We’re stretching out summer – and being pretty blatant about it – by asking music-fuelled designers to spill their current stereo sequences. Romain Kremer is the seismic French menswear talent who did it all first: masks, transparency, stretch and the art of techno show-off, encouraging men to be as sexy as they want (you’re more likely to go for it if your face is obscured). When the designer paired sheer pink dresses with Nikes in a million miles-per-hour take on sport, it was still masculine – and that’s the key.
Kremer, who reignited Mugler menswear with Nicola Formichetti from AW11 to AW13, compiled his playlist by iPhone from the beach. The eagle-eyed will spot a couple of tracks missing from the audio: this one knows his stuff, outrunning even YouTube. So get down the record shop for the full spectrum.
