M.I.A. has collaborated with Danish designer Astrid Andersen on a debut merchandise line.

Launching tomorrow (9th August) at Astrid’s flagship store to celebrate Copenhagen Fashion Week, the collection reworks signature looks from Andersen’s FW17 collection “in super lightweight technical fabrics in colours inspired by the Sri Lankan-born musician’s AIM artwork”. The line-up includes anoraks, track pants and tees, with prices ranging from £50 – £120.

On working with Anderson, M.I.A. said, “I chose to work with Astrid because she is an independent women who combines function, sport, simplicity, and futurism.” Whilst the designer added, “M.I.A’s message is strong and pure and her personality is strong-willed and determined, that’s rare to find and that’s what made her so incredible to work with.”

Astrid Andersen X M.I.A. goes on sale 9th August 2pm – 6pm at Andersen’s Copenhagen store, Jagtvej 19, 2200, and available on M.I.A.’s online store.
