Design duo Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant are set to exit Courrèges having been hired as creative directors at the French fashion house two years ago.

Appointed to inject new energy into the sleeping giant, the duo’s collections saw them strip back the house’s iconic aesthetic and reinterpret André Courrèges’ modernist codes in tune with today’s woman.

Described as a mutual decision, a statement from the brand praises the designers’ influence: “They have accomplished the goal to reinterpret the house codes and distinctive shapes that are synonym of the brand uniqueness and innovative spirit.

Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant Fall Winter 2017 collection, their last, has delivered a message of optimism and innovation mirroring seamlessly the futuristic ethos of the brand. The two designers will now focus on new creative projects.”
